Have you ever felt like nothing in your life really matters and that you don’t belong where you are.
For some this feeling usually passes over but there are those who can’t get rid of the feeling, and often there is a serious reason behind it.
This is how it was for Steve Carter, while at home on the internet one evening he came across a picture of himself that made him totally freeze up.
Steve Carter grew up on the east coast of the United States in New Jersey with his mom and dad.
Steve felt there was something missing in his life, as he was growing up but he couldn’t pinpoint what it was.
From the time he was a small boy he has no memories of growing up.
He was aware that he was adopted when he was 4 years old because his foster parents had told him.
For this reason, he felt lost because he was adopted.
Steve noticed a few things that made him question his background as he grew up.
One example, he didn’t have any birth certificate.
The questions about his past gnawed at him more than ever when Steve reached 35.
He discovered a story about a woman whose adoption wasn’t legal, so he went on the internet straight away..
When he saw a picture that made his stomach tie up in a knot once went on to missingkids.com.
A baby on the Missing Kids page who looks exactly like Steve.
He knew that it was him in the picture and it sent shivers right all over Steve’s body.
Steve had been kidnapped as a baby, his biological father and sister had never given up the hope of finding him one day.
