Ruth Reed and her husband made a special resolution one New Years Eve a couple of years ago since then they try hard to maintain it.
The generous couple from New Jersey decided to cover the bill for a complete stranger each week, at establishments like Wawa and Dunkin’ donuts.
They generally try to look after the tab for military men and women or anyone who seems to need an extra helping hand.
Ruth is a retired elementary school teacher and currently working as a substitute teacher.
One night she happened to be standing in line at Wawa when this incident occurred.
A gentleman standing in front of her seemed to be struggling to pay for his items at the cash register.
It looked as though the man was standing in line with a woman, wasn’t able to process his credit card.
He turned to other customers looking for a lend of five dollars.
Ruth had a perfect opportunity to carry out her weekly good deed so she insisted on paying for this man’s coffee.
As she took a closer look at his face she realized how familiar he looked.
Moments later after the exchange, Ruth noticed a number of bodyguards standing behind her, she suddenly realized who this man was.
