Missing Baby Boy Found Dead After Amber Alert- Father Faces Serious Consequences

Seven-month-old Norman Okla, the subject of an Amber Alert was found dead on Wednesday.

An Amber Alert was issued by Norman Police Department who had been searching for Jody Minjarez and his father, 31-year-old Victor Manuel Minjarez.

In the afternoon Victor was seized at an Oklahoma City residence while investigators continued their search for Jody.

Tragically, the infant’s lifeless body was found a while later inside the home.

NPD first received a report of a domestic assault on the 19th of February.

Officers learned that Victor had violently attacked the mother of his child, and then grabbed their infant son.

A Victim Protective Order was granted to the baby’s mother which ordered his father to return Jody to his mother.

Apparently, Victor sent a text message later on to a friend instructing her to tell the baby’s mother that she would never see her son again.

Police officials wrote, “Based on this information, it is believed that 7-month-old Jody Minjarez is in imminent danger of bodily harm or death.”

Jody’s cause of death, which is being investigated as a homicide, will be determined by the medical examiner.

At 3.34 a.m on Thursday Victor was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of first-degree murder, and desecrating a human corpse.

On Wednesday he was also charged with a misdemeanor domestic abuse in the presence of a minor child offense.
