Wildcats are not really designed for living in the back of a rusty old pickup truck.

As part of a traveling circus in her Peru, this Puma was forced to endure a life such as this considering he was the main attraction.

These exotic animals should not have to live this way in order to entertain people.

Mini creatures continue to be used by the entertainment industry is in circuses and zoos all over the world.

Some of these animals never get the opportunity to experience a natural environment as they are forced to live in small cages and in terrible conditions.

Mufasa was one particular animal who was constantly locked up in chains for the entertainment of others.

Pumas were considered to be mountain lions by new settlers in North and South America as they believed the pumas were actually lionesses.

A lot of people desire to see pumas in real life as this magnificent feline is considered to have a mythical status

As a result of a market for the traveling circuses to exploit them exists. If you look at the Mufasa he was chained up in the back of an old pick up when he wasn’t performing for crowds.

Thanks the situation would eventually change. In 2015 once Animal Defenders International rescued Mufasa he finally broke free from his captors.

Following months of hard work, the puma was eventually set free.

After performing at the Peruvian circus for years where this organization had been keeping a close eye on him.

According to the group Mufasa the last remaining wild animal rescued from the circus.

Rather than being sent back to the wild,  he now had a second chance at freedom where he was released into a sanctuary that resembled the natural environment of the Peruvian Forest.

This would allow Mufasa to thrive and enjoy freedom as best as possible.

Not long after being set free move Mufasa, unfortunately, passed away in December 2015.

As a result of being caged for most of his life, he suffered from kidney failure and other issues that were related to age.

It’s a pity he didn’t have more time to enjoy his new found freedom outside of the circus life.
