Hannah Mongie found out she was pregnant with a boy at the age of 18.
When her boyfriend, Kaden, died unexpectedly in his sleep, her new family was torn apart just days after hearing the child’s heartbeat.
Hannah made the heartbreaking decision to give up her baby for adoption following Caden’s sudden death.
Even though her son would be the only surviving part of his dad Hannah decided that her little boy would be raised by someone else.
Hannah gave birth to a healthy baby boy she named Tagg on March 21, 2016.
Before handing Tagg over to his new adoptive parents she spent two days with him.
The story doesn’t end here about Hannah’s connection to Tagg.
When Hannah set up the adoption so arranged that she would be able to visit him.
Tagg’s adoptive parents live only 10 minutes away from Hannah, and she’s formed a fantastic bond with the adoptive mother, Emily.
Instead of “giving him up” or “away,” she gave Tagg to a loving family that she became part of,” his mother tells us.
Hannah also explains “We just grew, and everyone loves each other as if we’ve always been family. His mom Emily is still one of my best friends in the whole world. She honestly is everything I want to be as a person and a mother. I am so grateful that Tagg led me to her and their family.”
Hannah recorded a video for Tagg before she gave him to Emily and her husband on that day 2016.
“I hope anyone who watches this will be able to gain a new perspective on what the birth mom goes through when she places her child for adoption,” Hannah wrote on youtube.
“It is the FARTHEST thing from a heartless act. It shows the definition of love. To love someone this much is to give away your happiness for them.”
Hannah was ready to share the intimate video on YouTube 18 months later.
It now has about 1.5 million views, press play to see her video.
